Message from Mr. Adil Kairlin, the exchange student from Kazakhstan in summer 2019
"It has now been a year since I studied at National Institute of Technology, Sendai College. My internship at NITSC took place from June to August 2019. And to be honest, I was very happy to go in the summer, since our students have holidays in Kazakhstan.
On the first day, Prof. Kobayashi graciously met two students from my university and me. He treated us with delicious Japanese sushi later. On the next day Mr. Watanabe and Prof. Tsukada has shown us a presentation of the education system in Japan. I was very impressed that Kosen represents the golden mean between theoretical and practical knowledge.
For three of us, Prof. Sakuraba became the supervisor. And you know, in addition to classes in robotics, I received much more important "lessons". Sakuraba-sensei became to me like a close friend and mentor who truly inspired me for new beginnings and gave me the right advices.
I also warmly recall Ms. Oshima and her sons, who introduced us the Japanese culture. Together we visited Takekoma Shrine, Aoba Castle and Tanabata Festival. Her parents had a tea ceremony for us. And I’m really grateful for that.
Students in college are jolly guys who know how to organize cultural events in a very interesting way. I don’t forget that wonderful Ryosai Dormitory Day.
I could never have imagined that my dream of visiting Japan would come true so unexpectedly. Therefore, I express "мың алғыс" which means in Kazakh "a thousand thanks", to the President of NITSC, Fukumura-sensei who has established contact with my university.
My visit to Sendai inspired me to continue learning Japanese, which I interrupted 7 years ago. This winter, I reached level A2-3. Soon I will receive a certificate of level A2/B1 of the Japanese Foundation Courses at the Kazakhstan-Japan Center.
At the moment, I am finishing my graduate studies at AUPET. In my master's thesis, I partially used our research with Prof. Sakuraba.
I want to say something to students who will study at National Institute of Technology, Sendai College in the future! You will gain wide experience and knowledge, but the hospitable people of the College will become the main treasure for you. Enjoy your stay in Sendai!
皆さん、どうもありがとうございました!
Adil Kairlin, 2nd year master student of AUPET. Specialty: Heat Power Engineering."
